What is EMDR Therapy?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals process and heal from distressing experiences.
EMDR therapy helps the brain reprocess memories that may be “stuck,” allowing individuals to reduce emotional distress and develop healthier beliefs about themselves and their experiences.EMDR has been widely used to treat trauma, anxiety, and other emotional challenges.

Who Can Benefit from EMDR Therapy?
EMDR therapy may help individuals experiencing:
• trauma or PTSD
• anxiety or panic attacks
• distressing memories
• negative self-beliefs
• grief or loss
• emotional reactions related to past experiences

What to Expect
During EMDR therapy, you will work collaboratively with your therapist to identify memories or experiences that may be contributing to current emotional distress. Your therapist will guide you through a structured process that includes bilateral stimulation, which helps the brain reprocess distressing memories in a more adaptive way. The goal of EMDR therapy is to help individuals reduce emotional distress and develop greater resilience.
